David and Robert (Classical)

David Roy-Martin is classically trained and studied in London with the renowned Welsh Soprano Iona Jones. Under her direction he won many accolades.


He was invited to sing for Vilhelm Tauskey conductor of music for BBC radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night and was invited back to sing at his birthday party. Maestro Tauskey commented that David has a “very interesting voice”.


Sadly Vilhelm passed away and David was invited to perform with members of Covent Garden Opera House at his memorial concert. In 2000 he visited Melbourne Australia as a principal singer with the Avoca singers from Ireland. As well as performing all over England, David has performed in Wales, Southern Ireland and Vienna.


David has appeared in various shows and cabaret but is predominately a concert performer and has sung in many prestigious venues, some of his more memorable concerts were held in the Cathedral of the Peaks in Tydeswell Derbyshire, the Roman Catholic Cathedral (Liverpool) and Lincoln Cathedral and The Painted Hall in the Royal Naval College Greenwich, London.


David appeared in the dazzling London show ‘Music of the Night’ with the Royal Artillery Orchestra and over the years has appeared on stage with many well known names. His interest in the life and music of Howard Keel led him to appear in“Howard Keel and his Leading Ladies” with the very popular soprano Linda Watts, musical direction by Carol Ann Wells.


David performed in concert in Lincoln Cathedral with Paul Arden- Griffith and Maria Kesselman both leads from the Phantom of the Opera. MC for the concert was Rod Whiting of BBC Radio Lincolnshire. (October 2012) He is due to perform with them again. David has appeared in variety with Steve Barclay at many venues and  has just finished a season at the Criterion Music Hall (Sheerness) with Paul Harris (BBC Radio Kent).


David has appeared in Patience – Carousel – Perchance to Dream and Cabaret.


David works with International pianist Carol Ann Wells (London) Mark Briggs (Midlands) and Robert Thompson (Louth, Lincolnshire).



Robert W. Thompson is a classical pianist who studied under Professor Graeme Humphrey, Royal Academy of Music. Robert has played extensively, joining David Roy-Martin, Maria Kesselman (Phantom of the Opera), Bill Benham (former violin, London Symphony Orchestra).


Robert loves the compositions of Beethoven and Mozart, and enjoys playing at 432 Hz as Verdi preferred.
